Now there’s a man who knows how to keep it classy!
Sadly, music education has taken a backseat to team sports and standardized testing in America’s schools. However, all is not lost when you hear stories like this.
After watching a video of a Kentucky children’s percussive group perform a rendition of his hit “Crazy Train,” the former Black Sabbath frontman donated a whopping $10,000 to the group.
According to Newsweek, “The Louisville Leopards Percussionists range in ages from 7 to 14, and has more than 60 talented youngsters from 48 schools in the area… What’s more, the nonprofit group has performed with the likes of Dave Samuels and My Morning Jacket. Many critics are quick to say contemporary music is going off the rails, but if this is the future of music–we truly have nothing to worry about.”
Keep on rockin’ kids! And you keep on being classy Ozzy!
