Texas floods

nolan creek

This weather has been utterly crazy! If you haven’t seen my video of the storms rolling in to my home town, you can find that here. Image at the top is a photo of the “creek” that runs through downtown Belton, about 2 miles from my house. This is normally a rambling, quiet little creek…until it rains of course.

Also, in Austin, this is what Barton Springs Pool looks like today. My guess is no one will be swimming there for a few days at least. Class Five anyone?

And here’s what I’m lovingly calling The Panhandle Sea. West Texas is infamous for being a very dry place. Not this weekend! This is what pump jacks look like under water.

Let’s hope we’ll get a few days off from all this wet stuff.
